Level 9 and 10's compete at St Nick Invite

This past weekend our Level 9 and 10's competed at the Annual St Nick Invite held at Northern Illinois University. This year we only had 2 compete. Level 9 Sam competed in her first meet since last January and qualified to the state meet. Here are some of the video highlights from her competition.
Level 10 Emily Ryan got her competition started off with a consistent performance that qualified her to this years state meet. Here is some of the video highlights.

Palmers Gymnasts had a strong showing at Make a Wish

Palmers Level 6,7,8's and Boys team competed at the Make a Wish Ultimate Wish Classic over the weekend. The Level 7's and 8's start the weekend off on friday night with strong performances on two events and a little shaky on two events.
Level 7 Kennedy ONeill scored a 9.4 on floor
Kennedy also scored a 9.225 on vault and finished with an AA of 36.075(6th place).

Level 7 Bailey Bloom scored a 9.3 and finish 3rd with this bar routine.
She also scored a 9.15 on floor to finish with an AA of 36.3(5th place)

The level 8's started strong on vault and end strong on floor (video to come) to finish 4th over all as a team. Other highlights from the Level 8 session Teagan Ziegler had scores of 9.275 (1st place) on vault and 9.55(1st place) on floor to tie for 1st AA with a 35.45. Katelyn Murphy and Annalise Donati tied for 1st place on floor exerise with a 9.5 in their age group. Isabella Shaw finished with a 9.1 (2nd place) on vault and 9.4 (3rd place) on floor exercise.

On Saturday the Boys team and Level 6's competed. The Level 4's competed in their first gymnastics competition with a good showing. Here is a look at their ring routines.

Level 10 Jordan DeClerk start his 2010-11 competition off with a good showing on floor 13.5 (1st place), rings 14.8(2nd place), and high bar 12.4 (1st Place).
He finished 2nd in the AA with a 77.00.

The Level 6's Girls team competed on Saturday night and finished 3rd as a team with a strong team effort on balance beam.
Amber Broucek finished 1st on vault 9.25 and 1st on beam with a huge 9.6 to finish 2nd AA with a 36.275. Nina Gallichio also finished 1st in her age group on beam with a 9.4. Payton Murphy won 3 events vault 9.325, bars 9.15, floor 9.175, and was 2nd on beam with a 9.3 to finish 1st AA with a 36.95

Palmers Gymnasts compete to help Make a Wish Kids

This weekend our Palmers Level 6-8's and our Boys Team will compete in the Ultimate Wish Classic hosted by Ultimate Gymnastics. The competition will feature gymnasts from around the chicago area as well as Wisconsin. This is an annual competition hosted by Ultimate to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation. Palmers Gymnastics is proud to helping out such a great cause.

This weekend begins the 2010-11 competition season for our Level 8 girls as well as all our Boys team. The Ultimate Wish Classic is the second meet of the season for our Level 6 and 7's who are coming off a strong performance at the judges cup last month. We wish all our Palmers Gymnasts the best of luck this weekend. GO Palmers.
